The Migration Conference

You only need to submit an Abstract to be considered for the Conference participation.

To submit abstracts, you have create a new accountat submit.migrationconference.neteven if you have registered in previous conferences, since we reset the user database for submissions annually.

Special Session proposals should be emailed to the conference committee at migrationscholar@gmail.com. Please try to be brief and identify potential or agreed presenters for your session.

Submission Guidelines
You can submit a structured abstract of maximum 500 words.
Please go to paper/abstract submission page and login to your account or if you do not have a conference account, sign up for an account first and complete your author registration. Please tick all the boxes at the end of the form so you can submit as author and reviewer.

All submissions must be Word documents when possible.

Number of presentations at the conference: Authors may submit no more than 2 single authored papers or 3 co-authored papers in total.

Abstracts

Structured long abstracts should state clearly the objectives, referring to relevant literature, methods, results and conclusions of the work, and should be no more than 500 words in length.
Up to 10-12 key references cited in the abstract can be given and these are not included in the word count.

  • A maximum of 500 words excluding references.
  • Microsoft Word documents
  • A4-page formatted
  • 2.5cm margins on all sides
  • Single spaced
  • 12-point Times Roman font (the title, which must be 14-point Times Roman).

Full conference papers will be published in proceeding books prepared as thematic volumes and published by Transnational Press London. All books will be assigned an ISBN number and will be made available in digital and print formats.

Full Papers

Full papers must be submitted via email at migrationscholar@gmail.com

Full papers should include a 100 words abstract and be maximum 2000 words inclusive. It must state clearly the objectives, justification, literature review, data and methods, results and discussion, conclusions, and reference list.

WORD DOCUMENT PAPER TEMPLATE

  • A maximum of 2,000 words including abstract and references.
  • Microsoft Word documents
  • Single spaced
  • 11-point Garamond font.

Posters

  • These must be in PowerPoint format, and have a maximum file size of 5Mb
  • Posters should be A1 format and printed on a single panel
  • The text should be around 25 point, with main headings no smaller than 36 point
  • Please avoid overloading your posters as cluttered posters are difficult to follow and extra space allows to highlight key points.

Special Sessions
Session proposals should be sent to the conference chair via email.
Please try to be brief and identify potential or agreed presenters for your session.
